Hi

I'm Catherine Kiley

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with young professionals and adults who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism and relationships.

I help individuals go from feeling overwhelmed to finding calm and couples go from fighting to feeling happy in their relationship.

My Journey To Becoming A Therapist

My own growth through personal life struggles is what helps me relate so deeply with clients.

As a teenager, I went through a dark time filled with emotional struggles. I know what it’s like to go through difficult times and to know you need help. I understand the struggle of needing help while at the same time being uncertain and nervous about taking those steps of reaching out because of all the unknowns.

I felt nervous when I first started therapy. I was particularly worried about being judged and I wasn’t sure if a therapist would understand or accept me.

The idea of opening up and talking about myself was scary. It took a lot of courage to take the steps to find a therapist, show up to sessions, and to speak my truth.

Not only was therapy a life-changing experience for me and my healing, it is also what sparked my passion for helping others. I learned how healing it is to be in a safe space where you can talk freely about what you are going through.

My own transformative experience receiving therapy led me to become the therapist I am today.

Helping People Is A Passion Of Mine

Being a therapist is inspiring and I feel honored that people chose to share their stories with me.

I love guiding people towards positive changes while hearing each person's unique history and experience and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is celebrating when my client's make progress.

I am committed to facilitating positive change.

I Have Compassion For People And Bring
Non-Judgemental Acceptance To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

Understand people's experiences.

Uncover what's under the surface.

Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances.

Help clients heal their past and manage the present.

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood which helps people feel seen and start to heal.

our sessions are focused on you

Sessions will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to gain clarity and be yourself.

It's important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and stay open to any feedback and questions you may have. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

as a therapist

I Embrace The Following Philosophies

I believe that you deserve to feel better

I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work

I believe that sometimes small steps in the right direction end up being the biggest steps in the end

I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do

I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding
